Alex has always had a passion for construction. His first paycheck came from digging holes for fenceposts, which he continued to do over summer breaks in both high school and college. After graduating Colorado State University in 2010 with a bachelors in Economics, he moved to St. John in the U.S.V.I. to work as an installer in the solar energy industry. Once he returned home to Colorado he returned to the commercial fencing company that signed his first paycheck, and worked his way up from installer to foreman to estimator. As an estimator for a small business enterprise, Alex was responsible for accurately pricing scopes of work, reviewing and negotiating contracts with owners, general contractors, and suppliers, as well as ordering materials in accordance with project schedules. Alex worked on projects for CDOT, Colorado State Parks, public school districts, private entities, municipalities, and the federal government. The experience Alex gained working as a key member of a small project administration team allows him to quickly understand the problems facing clients in the construction industry and communicate his advice efficiently.
Alex’s legal career has consisted of reviewing contracts, drafting motions, conducting in-depth research, drafting memos, performing due diligence, communicating with clients, and assisting with preparation for both trial and arbitration.
In 2019, Alex obtained his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law where he re-established the Construction Law Society, serving as President, and also served as Treasurer for the Student Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice law in Colorado.
